International Business Association

 

The International Business Association is one of twenty-seven  Student Professional Organizations within the Fox School of Business and Management. The IBA strives to professionally develop its members by exposing them to several careers in International Business through guest speakers, professional development events, and networking events.

I began my journey with the IBA as a member during my first semester (Spring 2013) at Temple University and quickly got involved within the organization.  In the Fall 2013, I became the Co-Director of Public Relations for the IBA. As Co-Director of Public Relations my responsibilities included sending out Public Relations Committee meeting minutes as well as creating sign up sheets, reserving rooms, and reminding members of upcoming events.

Currently, I am the Director of Public Relations for the IBA. As the Director of Public Relations I am responsible for promoting the organization’s public image, fundraising, and planning community service as well as professional events.  In addition, I serve as liaison to the IBA academic advisor and work closely with the Director of Marketing for event promotion.

 As an officer in the IBA, I’ve strengthened my ability to lead, communicate, and work with a team to successfully reach a common goal.
