President of the Fox African American Business Association
As the President of the Fox African American Business Association, my goal is to create a safe space for all of our members and ensure that they are equipped with skills that will help them advance in their respective career paths. I learned the importance of communication, collaboration, and time management while in this role, as I planned events with my executive board and external corporations. This semester, we are focusing on preparing our members for what is to come after college and giving them opportunities to expand their personal and professional networks. For example, we had a general body meeting about post-grad opportunities, and just recently hosted an Alumni Panel event with FAABA alumni who are navigating their own post-graduate lives. This is helpful for me in learning how to prepare myself for post-grad life and working full time. We also have exciting things coming up nearing the end of the semester, like our Black Owned Business Panel and a corporate office tour. I am so proud to be a part of this organization and can’t wait to prepare the incoming executive board for the transition to next semester.
