Risk Advisory Intern
- In this Internship experience, I worked with 4 different departments to gain a full exposure of some of the different fields involved in Cybersecurity. This included: Services Development, Product Management, Cloud Security, and Risk Management/Ethical Engineering
- Helped to Automate the Runbook Process for the Product Management Team. I prepared IKO templates for IKO meetings, participated in Salesforce review and training. I reviewed the Security Project Lifecycle on the Product Management side. I assisted the Services team with implementing Netskope, a cloud security platform that provides solutions for data protection, and defense against threats in cloud applications. On the Risk Management side, I shadowed and saw the discovery of range, used Nmap to do discovery, went over IP Segments using an IP Scanner, executed a Vulnerability Assessment for a company. Finally, I reconvened after assessment and proceeded with validations.
- With this experience, I got a first look into what Cybersecurity is all about. From working with the product management lifecycle to learning about Penetration tests and Vulnerability Assessments, this experience really allowed me to dive into a new career path in the technology world. This Internship was closely related with the Cloud Architecture MIS Class as I was working and shadowing with the cloud security team as well using Amazon Web Services and other related cloud platforms that AccessIT used.
