Changing of the Paradigms: Control Test Automation
In this webinar I attended on June 3rd, we heard from the great leaders Jarred Berstein and Greg Haberer who both work at Grant Thorton. We also heard from David Lanter about the ITACS program here in the MIS department which was very insightful as I am interested in possibly pursuing the 4+1 program after further consideration is conducted. It was very insightful to hear from these gentlemen regarding Audit, Risk, and Compliance departments that choose to use automation to increase efficiency in business ventures especially in the terms of a risk management perspective. It was especially insightful to hear from Jarred’s experience as he mentioned that he’s been in pretty much every industry which provided the webinar with a very diverse background. Moving forward, I’ve learned more about the internal capabilities that businesses possess and the benefits of leveraging automation for future and consistent success. This has increased my perspective within the Information Technology/Systems industry and I feel as though that I have learned valuable business knowledge that I can use to assist me in becoming a better, more informed business professional who can educate and help employers in the future.
