Heightened Visions: The Dynamic World of Drone Photography

- What you learned: I learned that drones are a very powerful and underappreciated piece of technology. I like how they have become made available for public use, rather than just military use because I have always been fascinated with new tech upgrades throughout the years. Drones are great for taking amazing pictures and can even be used to enhance security by scoping out a large area of land. I also learned that drones can be quite tricky to learn how to operate, however upon seeing the video demonstration clips included in the presentation, I would love to try flying a drone. I didn’t even think about the possibility of learning this new skill prior to this event, but I’m going to start saving up for a drone.
- How the activity relates to coursework or your career goals: This activity relates to my major because it is a modern example of the advancement of technology through the years. My major is Management Information Systems so I am very interested in technology. Drones have been a trend in the tech world lately and I’ve always been curious to know how they operate.
