BBA in Management Information Systems, Honors Fox School of Business, Temple University

Minor in Spanish

I am originally from the suburbs of Washington D.C. in Oakton, VA but my family moved to the suburbs of Philadelphia in 2011. I attended and graduated from Methacton High School in Collegeville, PA. In the Fall of 2015, I began college at Temple University with a full academic scholarship. Although I started with an undeclared major, I slowly made my way to the MIS program where I have found my major and my future career.

I have had two different internships at SEI Investments in Oaks, PA. During my first internship there, i was a member of the Project Management Team in the Private Equity division of the Investment Manager Services business unit. I was heavily involved with a Robotics Process Automation implementation project and worked on many client on-boarding and conversions using  project management technology such as JIRA and Confluence. I also assisted with internal projects focused on improving efficiency and employee retention.

During my second internship, I moved to the Technology Team in the Investment Management Unit. In this position, my work was oriented towards the new Data Portal website that was being built by the team. I created interactive data analytics for the team, using a tool called QlikSense, and I used these analytics to create user stories for different types of users. I also trained a chatbot for the Data Portal and assisted with the re-design of the homepage and entity landing page.

Currently, I am working for the Information Technology Services department for Temple University. In this position, I am learning how to manage the IT infrastructure of a large university and how problem solve using only my current knowledge and the internet. I am also assisting with several ongoing projects to improve servers and create new virtual data stores.

Over the past five or so years, I have also enjoyed tutoring friends and family members who are struggling in their classes. Topics that I have tutored in include Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, Chemistry, English, and Physics.

After I graduate from Temple University, I hope to start a full time job working with data or enterprise IT architecture. I also plan to start studying for an MBA in Information Systems within five years of undergraduate graduation.
