Investment Manager Unit Technology Intern
- SEI Investments in a large financial services firm located in Oaks, PA. Over the summer, I worked in its Investment Management Unit (IMU) on the technology team. This business unit’s puropse is to invest on the behalf of clients and manage portfolios for them. The technology team supports the IMU with all of its technology needs.
- As a member of the Investment Management Unit Technology Team, I created analytics for the new Data Portal website, trained a Chatbot for the Data Portal website, designed a new layout for the Data Portal homepage, and more.
- This internship taught me a lot about how a technology team runs in an organization that is not based on technology. I had to learn both sides of the job, the finance side, and the technology side. I got to learn from an accomplished business analyst about the management of technology as well as the IT architecture of a large company.
