Service Work
I have done community service for two different organizations over the years.
The first place I volunteered at was the Diveheart Foundation in Downers Grove IL. The Diveheart foundation provides scuba diving opportunities for children, adults and veterans with disabilities. My main responsibilities were to clean the scuba gear, check all regulators and diving equipment such as masks, fins, and wet suits. I would then drive to the local dive shop and fill all the tanks with oxygen. Then drive back to the foundation and ready the truck with all the gear the dive master needed. I volunteered their the whole summer of 2009 and also aided in painting the new building they eventually moved in to.
The second place I volunteered at was the Burr Ridge park district In Burr Ridge IL. The Burr Ridge Park district strives to promote quality living through a Great park district. The Park has two baseball fields and a pool where people that live in the district flock to the the summer time. It also contains many senior living activities centers inside where seniors can play there favorite card games. The park district also provides Day Care for children in pre school and kindergarden. My job there was mainly to answer phones and provide The district residents with information about when activities were being held. I volunteered at the Burr Ridge park district in the summers of 2010-2011.
