Verity Outreach Coat Drive
I volunteered at the Verity Outreach Center coat drive in Philadelphia on November 21st. Our main goal was to make sure people in need got warm coats before the freezing weather hit. We spent five hours collecting and handing out tons of winter gear, and the best part was seeing those coats go directly to locals in the Philadelphia community who really needed that help to stay warm this winter. What I learned most was how much of a difference quick, organized help can make, and just how meaningful it is to give someone something essential like a warm coat.
