Career Objectives
I chose to study risk management and insurance because I thought it was a relevant major for me. Since my parents are immigrants, they were always confused on how insurance works. In the end, I want to be able to help people like my parents understand the value of insurance and the concept of risk management because it is vital in everyday decision-making. These are useful for one’s peace of mind by providing that financial security.
I also studied Management information systems because it is a personal interest of mine. I love technology, whether for recreation use (social media) or just making my life easier. . As a millennial, I truly believe that it is important to keep up-to-date with our innovating technology because first of all, it is inevitable. I grew up with technology, hence, it is basically embedded to my lifestyle. Most importantly, I find technology as an extension of our human capabilities, making our lives more efficient and opening doors to endless possibilities.
I love to be well-rounded, which means I am open to many industries (not just insurance). I want to work for an environment that thrives on innovation, where we can work as a team to build something amazing (or fix what’s broken). I hope to always learn something new everyday, and I would love to further my education one day in pursuing an MBA or passing designations.
