MIS Capstone
For my capstone project, my team made an app called Cinema Standoff, that allows movie theater guests to play games on the big screen. I was mainly responsible for the prototype. One of my teammates did a lot of market research, interviewing theater owners and surveying friends. I found this to be surprisingly helpful throughout the project. The next time I work on something in an industry that is somewhat unknown to me, I’ll definitely take the time to survey and research potential stakeholders. A lot of the information that we got from her efforts was something we could have guessed, but there were a few things that were surprising, and really helpful to our cause. Besides, the validation we had a sample of 50 plus people gave us confidence and credibility. That’s something that is often hard to come by in starting a business.
