Vanguard Internship
After receiving offers of employment from places such as Booz Allen Hamiliton, I have accepted an internship with Vanguard for the Summer of 2015.
This internship is part of the IT College to Corporate Program, and will place me on a team that works on an IT project for Vanguard, which is located at Malvern, PA. Further details on the project I will be assigned to will be discussed later in 2015 as the internship date draws closer.
This internship relates to me degree in IT Auditing and Cyber Security since part of the project will deal with securing sensitive information that is kept on Vanguard’s systems, such as the clients’ social security numbers, addresses, bank account numbers, 401k’s, and other insurance information. Vanguard has a reputation for being one of the best companies for computer security since the company has never had a computer security breach. Working with, and learning from the best in the industry with an undefeated record will greatly enhance my skills and attention to detail.
Vanguard is an investment management company that handles $3 trillion in assets, and is the third largest source of exchange traded funds. Vanguard offers mutual funds, retirement funds, insurance options, and many other financial services.
