Temple Parking Serivces
In October 2012, during my freshman year of college, I was hired as a customer assistant for Temple Parking Services. This job is what sparked my interests in working with databases. I handled thousands of parking permits for the numerous students and faculty in a huge database. This parking system was so detailed that it could determine exactly when each parker swipes into the lot, leaves, and how long they stayed. I learned how to fix errors in the parking system, and how to assess issues with the parking permits.
This experience was very beneficial in helping me understand how utilizing data can help improve customer service. From analyzing customer parking patterns, I could help students pick different parking plans that fit their needs. Working with customers in finding a payment plan that best fit their schedule was very rewarding.
