In the summer of 2013, I was hired to be a sales associate at Macy’s department store located in Center City Philadelphia. I work part-time as a sales associate for the handbag department. My primary responsibility is to not only sell merchandise to customers, but to assist customers in finding merchandise that matches their needs. During each shift, I do my best to meet the selling standards of Macy’s and create a satisfying experience with each customer I come into contact with so that they shop again at Macy’s. My experience working at Macy’s has not only reinforced my communication and customer service skills, but also trained me well in working in a fast-paced environment while simultaneously maintaining patience and tactfulness with customers.
