Digital Leader Fireside Chat: Larry Dignan

Mr. Dignan so far was probably my favorite speaker in terms of the quality of information given. He discussed the changes in career paths due to the pandemic, and how businesses are either suffering or thriving because of it. He put emphasis on tech companies or sectors of businesses/ organizations with tech groups related to MIS that are doing the best because of the low impact working from home has on them, since most of the jobs can be done from home computers either way. Smaller businesses were also a topic of discussion since they don’t have a plethora of resources to adapt to the environment compared to larger ones. As someone in MIS, understanding how to adapt in situations like this can further my professional development and set myself up for success where others some to struggle or fail.
