The International Student Association community believes that diversity and inclusion are essential to the fulfillment of our mission, values, goals and philosophy. As an international organization we believe that diversity and inclusiveness are indispensable for the development of our members and the community. We remain deeply committed to encourage and enhance cultural diversity at Temple University and its surrounding communities by the active participation amongst national and international students. We are open to anyone who wishes to help us educate the campus about students different affiliations and decent. Moreover, we are a community that is respectful of all persons despite differences in age, gender identity, ethnicity, religion, physical and or mental abilities, race, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status. The goal of this organisation is to explore the diversity and blend cultures form all over the world and help create homely environment for all the international students (11% of the total population) at Temple.

I started as an active member of ISA. I was elected as the Director Of Communications for this year. My roles in the organization includes managing interior and exterior communication in the organization. I also collaborate between sister/partner organizations to host joint events. I am also in charge of all the social media and advertising aspect of all the events.

Temple Student Government Representative, Freshmen Representative

The purpose of this organization is to build a strong community by bringing together all South Asian and non-South Asian students, faculty and alumni at Temple University who share a strong passion for the rich and diverse South Asian culture. We aim to break the divide between those from different South Asian backgrounds by encouraging collaborative efforts with other cultural student organizations, coming together for community service events that benefit the South Asian region, and providing a support network for all our members. We hope to not only spread South Asia’s vibrant culture across campus, but also educate those around us about the social and political issues facing the South Asian region and its people.

My role in this organization is to attend weekly Temple Student Government meetings representing this organization and maintain transparency between the organizations.

Vice President of Beech International Village

The Residence Hall Association, or RHA, is a student-run governmental organization for Temple University’s on-campus, residential population. RHA serves as the advocating student voice for all students living in a residence hall. By building and maintaining powerful relationships with countless professional-staff departments at Temple University, our organization is able to effectively voice the concerns and desires of our residents. RHA offers opportunities for leadership, programming experience, and community involvement through its 8 RHA Community Councils who serve as a constant reminder that success begins, first and foremost, in the home. We are the Residence Hall Association of Temple University and our members “Advocate, Engage, and Lead.”

I was the Vice President of the Community Council at Beech International Village residence hall. My role included to plan and organize social activities and events with Community Council for about 500 residents in the Residence Hall. I also managed advertising and surveying aspect of the activities organized and chaired weekly RHA General Assembly Meetings in President’s absence to plan and discuss future events with an agenda.
