Summer interns Eecruitment
- Job function (e.g., overall role, assigned tasks)This past summer, I did an internship at Youth Build Philadelphia chatter School. My main role was to collect the student data from the mother sheet or School Mint (website) and updates at the School Mint (website) and excel. In additions, my duties were managed students personal information and organized students applications. Every week, I updated the excel sheet the information about the new students and checked for missing information. I also helped the new students to fill school applications and set up their school accounts. Once a week, I attended the staff meeting and helped the staff for the events.
- Examples of projects (e.g., list the projects you worked on and what you accomplished) In June, they gave me a project to check the eligibility of the students based on their age, between 18 to 20, or resident proof. I found all the information on the mother sheet (Excel sheet). After finding all the information about students, I created my own filter start looking for the students those were not eligibles. After collecting all the information from the mother sheet, I made two excel sheet one for those students who were not eligibles and another one who were eligibles. After finished the project, I understood how to turn raw data into information. I also worked in the team to help the students to fill up school applications learned how to manage time. I improved my interpersonal skills by interviewing the students.
