Senior IT Support Technician
Allan Myers is the largest heavy civil contractor in the mid Atlantic region. I will working in their IT department on the applications team to both provide escalated support as well as work on new project based solutions for enterprise apps.
Allan Myers is not just a construction contractor but also a materials provider. As part of my role at Allan Myers I will be required to travel between PA, MD, DE and VA to provide on site IT support to the organizations many asphalt plants, quarries and job sites. This will require me to be able to troubleshoot complex issues surrounding the implementation in the construction industry.
As an MIS student, I had to familiarize myself with programming, APIs, database architecture, cloud computing and cybersecurity. These skills will be invaluable as I get to see how they are all applied in an actual industry. Allan Myers runs on a CMIC database, hosted in AWS with added security. Part of my role as senior support technical will be troubleshooting issues, and applying maintenance to these systems.
