I became involved with The Rad Dish Co-op because of my interests in sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable food systems.  As the Finance Steering Committee Leader I wrote the business plan, forecast sales, help design social media marketing campaigns on Instagram and Facebook, develop budgets, and keep accounting records for the co-op, a cooperative cafe and grocer at Temple University.  I have worked on the Steering Committee of The Rad Dish Co-op from the start of business in the winter of 2013; the co-op will open on Temple’s Main Campus in the fall of 2014.  Please click here to learn more about the Rad Dish Co-op.

Temple University Rome Study Abroad Program, Summer 2013

In order to fulfill my curiosity and interest in international cultures I

plan to study abroad at Temple University’s Rome campus this summer

for 6 weeks.  In Rome I will be taking Risk Management 2101 as a business foundations course and an Art History course that will be partially taught on site.  I look forward to expanding my global perspective through a full immersion in another culture.

Net Impact, Students for Responsible Business

I have served as the Vice President, President, and now Senior Advisor of Net Impact.  As an active member of Net Impact’s chapter at Temple University I focus on studying and improving the business world with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) driving my actions.  CSR focuses on promoting businesses that are sustainable, socially responsible and treat workers fairly.  During our weekly meetings we plan fundraising opportunities, discuss current events relating to CSR, invite guest speakers from socially aware corporations, and plan for our large networking event that we have each spring.  I enjoy my membership in Net Impact because it is a non-major specific Student Professional Organization, and therefore I get the opportunity to collaborate with business students from many different fields.  Additionally, I enjoy the social awareness that Net Impact promotes, especially because business is a field with great ethical responsibility.  Finally, Net Impact has a community garden that all members have the opportunity of working in.  All of the organic produce grown and harvested in this garden is donated to local families in North Philadelphia.
