Algebra Tutoring
Throughout the 2022 Summer, I tutored my friend’s little brother, Alex, in Algebra to prepare him for a 7th grade placement exam. My goal from the beginning was to help Alex pass his exam by making him more confident in himself, as he is very smart but tends to second guess himself, leading him to get questions wrong. In the end, Alex passed the test and became very confident in his skills, to the point where he is now excited to show them off this upcoming school year. This experience led me to understand the power that my time and energy has in young people’s lives. I feel proud of myself for being such a positive influence to someone, and I am very excited to see where this experience takes Alex in the future.
