How to Get Booked on Podcasts Without a PR Team
The IT related webinar that I attended was called How to Get Booked on Podcasts Without a PR Team. The speaker at this webinar was Danielle Desir, she is the founder of a blog and podcast called Though Card as well as the founder of Women of Color Podcasters. Desir has also been a guest on more than 75 podcasts, including Postcard Academy. Another lesson that I learned from the webinar was how to send a pitch email to podcasters and the do’s and don’ts of pitching yourself. I learned that podcast hosts look for guests who can share interesting stories, personal journeys, or explain how to do something. This activity relates to my career goals because by being a guest on podcasts I can expand my network which will help my career. It can also help me to showcase myself as an expert in my field and is a great way to get exposure. This webinar was very informative and was a great way for me to learn how to pitch myself to be a guest on a podcast.
