GSCO Intern

  1. Job function (e.g., overall role, assigned tasks)
    1. I was a Global Supply Chain Operation Intern for Lockheed Martin working in the Enterprise Operations division. I worked with the company\\\\\\\’s SAP Procurement System, learned data analytics and Tableau, and coded documents with HTML.
  2. Examples of projects (e.g., list the projects you worked on and what you accomplished)
    1. I learned Tableau over the course of my internship and was able to model various metrics for the Procurement Contracts Team. I created dashboard which were published to the team\\\\\\\’s confluence site and also created slides displaying the data analysis I conducted to be presented to the VP of Global Supply Chain Operations. I also modified the HTML and CSS code for various documents the team uses to onboard different suppliers.
  3. What you learned and how it relates to your major (e.g., describe what you learned from this experience in the context of specific courses)
    1. I truly saw the intersection of my Supply Chain and MIS double major. With Supply Chain, I saw the intricacies of the procurement and contracts process of supplier selection and choice. The end to end process fulfillment gave me insight into the value chain and I was able to relate such classroom concepts. Through my coding and data related projects, I was able to apply the more technical concepts MIS has taught me
