- What you learned
- The case presented was revamping Target’s current flexible fulfillment strategies with current trends in the digital transformation space. Our team presented three solutions: Pro Gloves which is wearable, scannable technology for warehouses; Scan and Go application which is an app that allows customers to scan items and check out on their own; and drone delivery which minimizes delivery times and human oversight. Overall, I learned about supply chain strategies, end-to-end project fulfillment, and timeline creation. From a technical perspective, we had to develop app details. Financing, creating, and integration were research topics I learned throughout this case.
- How the activity relates to coursework or your career goals
- I am a Supply Chain major in addition to MIS. This showed me the intersection between my technology and logistics background. By utilizing technology in the e-commerce space, delivery and supply chain visibility becomes maximized allowing for a greater customer experience and company efficiency.
