Helping Local Businesses and Individuals with Technology during COVID-19
Activity Description: Our goal for this volunteering activity was to help local businesses and individuals adapt to the new reality of remote work and communication brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. We offered our technological expertise to help these groups of people engage, work, and conduct business effectively using technology. We helped small businesses set up online stores, individuals learn how to use video conferencing software, and local organizations to transition their services to digital platforms. As a result, we helped these groups of people stay connected and productive during these challenging times. We learned a lot about how technology can help people overcome barriers and challenges, especially during a crisis.
