Asian & American Insurance Group

Asian & American Insurance Group is a local office that an agent own supplying contracts from Erie Insurance.This is where you would be able to interact with an agent and ask them any questions you have regarding to insurances.
Walking into an insurance office, I didn’t expect so much documentation are handled on the computer and computers are a necessity in the office. I was working under Mr. Wong the owner of this office that supplies insurance policy provided by Erie. Mr. Wong has advice me to start working on basic things such as inputting client’s information including names, address, description, and other information. Then slowly he teaches me how to use HotSauce System Manager system so that I would be able to keep track, update, and process his clients information and needs with one system. During my daily day, I was to handle customer’s relationship with customers by searching through customer’s information and creating emails to email updates.
This experience has taught me how to cooperate with clients and prepare certain documentation to better agent’s analysis. The office uses agentexchange.com to communicate within the company. I wasn’t allowed to interact with that because I wasn’t certified as an agent. I did all the outside work of keeping client’s information. Keeping clients happy is the key point in the insurance business.
From this experience, I’ve decided to declare my major in Management Information Systems during Fall 2013. Then I realized how offices interactions were very important. While working in the office I have develop the interest on better communications within the business world.
