Met with industry professionals and recruiters in IT consulting during several one-on-one sessions. I was interested to learn that many of the tools that I use in my courses – namely MySQL and AWS – are used extensively in industry and are skills that hiring managers look upon very favorably. Overall, I learned a great deal about IT consulting and its many different paths for an MIS major to go into.
