  4. Job Description
    1. AmerCareRoyal LLC, Wholesaler/Manufacturer of single-stream paper and plastic products. 500+ employees with locations in PA, SC, TX, Canada, and China.
    2. Member of the Information Technology team as a Project Business Analysts Intern.
    3. Projects
      1. IT Management Portal
        • Created a portal to track all IT related information for members of the IT leadership team. This portal tracked IT related expenditures, supported invoice tracking, acted as a repository for all documentation relating IT processes, and storage for vendor contracts.
      2. Process Improvement Projects
        • Supported consultants in efforts to improve ACR\’s sourcing and sales processes. Attended/hosted meetings with SMEs, elicited requirements for process improvements, and assisted in the development/procurement of software to support process changes.
    4. Through this internship I learned much about how larger firm\’s handle the creation and execution of large scale, ongoing projects. I was lucky enough to gain first-hand experience in the discovery, planning, and implementation phases of IT related projects. Thanks to courses like Digital Solutions Studio (MIS 3506), I was comfortable in assisting with translation the businesses needs of ACR into working, technical solutions. I received hands-on experience with project scoping, requirements elicitation, and solution design. I also got first-hand insight into how different departments need to keep open lines of communication in order to collaborate efficiently. This was obvious during my creation of the IT management portal, as I had to regularly work with the AP and Finance department in order to track IT expenditures.
