Business Development Intern at ReminderMedia

In the Fall I was a Business Development Intern at ReminderMedia. I worked 20 hours, 4 days a week. I started on August 24th and was originally slated to finish on December 18th, but do to my good work ethic and willingness to ask I was able to get it extended through the winter break period as week giving me an additional 3 weeks of full time experience with the company. Besides those 3 weeks the week of fall break I also managed to fit in a week of full time shifts at the company. Here are some of the things I have been responsible for at my internship:

Daily Function:

  1. Input new and verify previous customer data within the CRM to help generate new leads for the sales team.
  2. Collect customer data through calling offices to help generate leads for the presentation managers.

None Daily work completed:

  1. Seat ride with IT
    1. Helped setup Mac’s for creative design department which included
      1. Adding 2 users to machines making 1 the root
      2. Allow desktop sharing
  • Download and install Flash, Java, and Adobe Reader
  1. Helped setup new printer
    1. Moved old printer and reorganized print station and helped run addition wire for new print station.
  2. Seat ride with customer service
    1. Listened in on how they take customers on a walk through to setup their accounts.
  3. Seat ride with sales
    1. Listened in on the way they pitch to clients. This allowed me to see how important it is for me to continue to collect accurate customer data for them to be successful in their pitch.
  4. FA/Insurance agent Excel assignment
    1. Worked on finding high priority prospect data for John who is the only salesman in the office who pitches to financial advisers and insurance agents.
    2. Used my experience in coding to explore the source code of form pages in order to find hidden client email address’s
