- My role was within the Revenue Intelligence and BI & Workflow Transformation department. I was tasked to create a slide deck that highlights the value, functions, and benefits of Dell’s internal revenue intelligence tool called, SalesWorks. To complete my task, I had to perform various competitive analysis, interpret data and usage reports, conduct interviews with various sellers across Dell, and attend feedback sessions with the global team.
- Overall, this experience has been fantastic and also quite humbling. I got to learn a lot while working with a big Fortune 500 company remotely. I was genuinely surprised by just how huge a corporation like that can be. The best part is that I gained insights beyond what a regular classroom could offer, like understanding sales language and how things work within Dell as a company. This internship really helped me step out of my comfort zone. In a corporate setting, I took the initiative to set up meetings with mentors and team members to get their thoughts on my final project. It’s been a real confidence boost and taught me how to navigate this kind of work environment. I’ve worked closely with 12 professionals across 10 different business functions. The MIS coursework has been a great steppingstone into the internship because it had already built a foundation of skills for me to apply to this job.
