Junior Business Analyst at DecisivEdge
Responsible for performing in-depth system and process analysis documentation of existing systems and their respective processes, diagramming high-level functionality and integration points, data flows, and providing options for system consolidation and process re-engineering by completing the following job responsibilities:
- Gathers information from the client through existing documentation, interview, meetings, system demonstrations, and side by side shadowing of personnel.
- Organizes the information and documents the overall systems and their high -level functionality.
- Identifies and documents key integration points with other systems, internal and external.
- Discovers and documents business process flows, high-level system integrations, and data flows.
- Documents technical details of the systems (application and platform details, enterprise serves and network diagrams, and system architecture overview).
- Travels to client locations (overnight) on a regular basis.
- Completes daily time entering against appropriate billing codes.
- Participates in other Company initiatives and duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or related field; and three to five years of experience in and understanding of Financial Services operations, customer service, sales or business support; or equivalent of education and experience.
Special Skills
- Ability to work and communicate directly with a stakeholder team to clearly define and analyze the user business requirements to ensure that the user expectations and business requirements clearly meet the project objectives.
- Ability to coordinate the setup of system integration, staging and pre-production technical environments to ensure that configurations mirror production and identify risks if they do not.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
