Introduction to Web Design and Development
In Fall 2024, I completed the Linkedin Learning Course Introduction to Web Design and Development. Through this course, I learned about the basics of web design and development, such as the roles of UI Designers, the basic skills needed, and the IDEs available for use. I was able to learn about User Experience and the tools that are typically needed, such as Figma, which is typically used for the planning process. I also learned about UI Designers, which are programmers that typically focus on the front end coding of the website. They need to have a good foundation and understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with prototyping tools like Figma. Different IDEs exist for programmers, with VS Code being the most common. Overall, I was able to learn about the basics of web design and development, as well as the core skills that are needed in order to create a good website.
