Temple University STEM Fall Career Fair

On September 24, 2025, I attended the STEM Career Fair, hosted by the College of Engineering in collaboration with the University Career Center. As a Management Information Systems major, I had conversations with many employers in the tech field, as well as across industries ranging from automotive and energy to chemicals and utilities. At Subaru, I spoke with representatives about how the integration of data systems and business strategy supports their engineering and customer service functions, which connected closely with my background in managing technical operations and optimizing digital processes. My conversation with recruiters from DuPont emphasized the value of adaptability in technology-driven environments, especially as companies seek to balance innovation with reliability. I also engaged with Carr & Duff to learn more about technology applications in infrastructure and electrical contracting, further broadening my perspective on where MIS skillsets can provide impact. Across these discussions, I consistently found that employers are seeking professionals who can apply technical knowledge in a business context and drive efficiency through technology. The fair reinforced my interest in pursuing roles where I can leverage my technical expertise alongside strategic thinking to deliver solutions that address real business challenges.
