IT Help Desk for Beginners
In the LinkedIn Learning course titled “IT Help Desk for Beginners,” I engaged in an educational activity designed to lay the foundation for a career in IT support. This course was sponsored by LinkedIn Learning and led by instructor Robert McMillen, who expertly covered a broad range of topics essential for entry-level IT help desk technicians. My role as a participant involved actively learning about the core responsibilities of IT support, including software troubleshooting, networking fundamentals, and effective customer service techniques. Through interactive lessons and practical examples, I gained a deeper understanding of the technical and soft skills required to excel in this role. Additionally, the course provided valuable insights into the various work environments I might encounter, such as remote, hybrid, and on-premises settings. By the end of the course, I felt better equipped to assess my professional options and pursue relevant certifications to further enhance my employability in the IT field.
