AIS Mentorship Program

During the spring semester of 2021, I had the privilege of participating in the Association for Information Systems (AIS) mentorship program at Temple University. This program provided me with extensive knowledge about the Management Information Systems (MIS) field and helped me plan my academic journey as an MIS student. My mentor, Taylor Trench, guided me through this process.

I found the AIS mentorship program an exceptional opportunity to get more involved in the Temple MIS community. Taylor’s experience as an upperclassman in the MIS program gave me valuable insights that I could apply in real-life scenarios. With her help, I mapped out my academic journey as an MIS major student and set realistic goals.

In the fall semester of 2022, I had the opportunity to give back to the AIS mentorship program by becoming a mentor for Randy Le. Randy and I bonded quickly, and I was able to help him plan out his undergraduate timeline, share any opportunities within AIS, and guide him whenever he needed help.

In conclusion, the AIS mentorship program was a unique experience that helped me gain in-depth knowledge about AIS and gave me valuable guidance from a seasoned mentor. I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in the program as both a mentee and a mentor.
