Member, Events Committee: Fall 2017- present

The Association for Information Systems (AIS) is Temple’s Student Professional Organization for MIS majors and FOX majors interested in careers in IT. As a member, I attend weekly speaker series about current events and jobs in the industry, as well as professional development workshops, technical development workshops, community service events, and networking social events. As a member of the Events Committee, I help organize and coordinate community service events and social events that take place each semester.

Member, Service Chair: Spring 2015- present

Sigma Alpha Iota is an international music fraternity. Temple’s chapter consists of about 30 women who all share a sincere interest in music. Members promote music on campus and throughout the community in various service projects throughout the semester. As a member, I help fundraise money that is donated to SAI Philanthropies Inc, which assists many of the charity’s ongoing projects to develop music in America and around the world. As service chair, I reach out to various groups in the community to coordinate service events for sisters of this organization

Temple University Diamond Marching Band and Basketball Pep Bands

Member, Section Leader: Fall 2015- present

The Temple University Diamond Marching Band consists of about 200 auditioned musicians. The group practices for 6 hours a week to perform a new show at every home football game, as well as various events throughout the Philadelphia community. I have also had the opportunity to travel with the band to playoff games in Florida, Connecticut, Washington DC, and Maryland. As a member of the flute section, I also participate in the Small Group, a select group that performs at additional events each semester. As section leader, I am responsible for teaching and preparing other members of the section for our performances. In addition, I am a member of the film and media committee, which promotes the band on YouTube.

Member: Fall 2016- present

Spoon University is a national organization that publishes daily articles about all things food related. I am a member of Temple University’s newly established chapter, for which I write articles and photograph food. I also created a food Instagram page for my study abroad semester, which can be found here.
