2018 Target Case Competition

Target Case Competition 2018

The Target Corporation provided a case regarding how to market gender-neutralized toys in stores. My team acted as a consultants for Target, seeking to create strategies that solved current opportunities for Target as well as the retail industry.  My team delivered an executive summary to Target involving our ideas and strategies for Target to capitalize on the market for gender-neutralality in the toy industry. My team was selected to compete as a finalist, where we presented our ideas to a panel of Target professionals and earned fourth place overall!

I learned about current developments in the business world, as well as opportunities on which Target is seeking to capitalize. I was able to apply my experience from MIS coursework to imagine relevant technologies that could be implemented or created to market gender neutral toys. In addition, I was able to apply my understanding of being a business analyst, which I learned in MIS 3506, throughout the Target Case Competition.

You can view our executive summary and presentation below!
