Global Operations Intern
In the summer of 2018, I got the opportunity to intern with PEI Genesis, an engineering company. PEI Genesis is an engineering company located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They create custom connectors and cable solutions for harsh environments. Fortunately, I got to be a part of the Analytics team for the summer. My roles included collecting pricing and other technical data from suppliers to convert to company standards for upper management, documenting data into their ERP acquisition system and databases, and contacting and supporting suppliers to align different IT systems. I learned much hands on experience on how a company functions. All teams (e.g finance, engineering, IT) must work together in order for the company to be successful in what they do.
