AIS Mentorship Program
FALL 2019
This semester I decided to join Association for Information Systems. A program within AIS is the the Mentorship Program. The Mentorship Program provides you with a mentor who guides you through the semester as an MIS major. My mentor was senior, Erin Ebling. She is an MIS major with a minor in accounting. Erin has helped me this semester significantly through my MIS classes. During the few sessions we had, she has assisted me with picking classes, deepening my concepts from class, and giving me her best tips on how to interview. The Mentorship Program has really helped me make it through this semester. I am looking forward to next semester, and eventually becoming a Mentee.
SPRING 2020
This semester I decided to continue in the Mentorship Program. My mentor was the same as last semester. Just like last semester, Erin has made a huge impact on lowering my stress as an MIS major. During the few sessions we had this semester, she has assisted me with picking classes, updating my resume, and helping me determine personal factors that are important to me for future internships. The Mentorship has really helped me make it through another tough semester. I am looking forward to next semester when I will become a Mentee, so I can help other MIS majors just like my Mentee did.
