Advisory Council Convened in October

October 2016 the IT Auditing and Cyber Security Advisory Council met to discuss current progress and future directions for the ITACS program.   The Advisory Council recognized the unique blending of technical and communication skills ITACS students were gaining within the program, indicating they found graduates they hired well prepared and suited for work within their organizations.  Towards the end of the meeting, ITACS students and advisers formed groups to analyze and discuss a data breach case studies from the recent 2016 Verizon Data Breach Report.  Students and advisers discussed how the exploit leading to each breach was conducted, what controls were missing, lessons learned and recommendations for improvement.
