IT Intern

  1. As the IT Intern for the MIS department at the District Court Clerk’s Office in Trenton, I held a broad range of responsibilities.
  2. Throughout my almost three months with the district court, I completed various projects relating to my coursework. First, I fixed and added features to a courtroom evidence display application that sat stagnant for two years, configured it for three separate servers, and had it deployed to the offices in Camden, Trenton, and Newark. Next, I imaged, configured, and deployed over 75 new PCs and laptops throughout the Trenton office. I then completed an inventory spot check for the entirety of the Trenton courthouse and corresponding offices in preparation for an upcoming IT audit. I then assisted in an email server migration from IBM to Microsoft Outlook. Throughout this time I also assisted with other smaller projects and assembled machines for various uses.
  3. My internship this summer essentially touched on each MIS course I have taken so far at Temple. If it had not been for the Data-centric application development and Application integration and evaluation courses, I would not have been able to write an application that will be used in all three district courts in New Jersey. Data Analytics provided me with the knowledge of SQL I needed to build the back-end of the future public website for Trenton’s district court. Digital solutions studio tied everything together by providing me with the communications and organizational skills needed when working in such an environment.
