Web Development Intern
Netdock Infotech Limited is a software development start-up that provides software solutions and other IT services to businesses. I traveled to Dhaka, Bangladesh during the winter break of 2017-2018 for this 3-week internship. As a Web Development Intern, I worked in the IT department of the company. During the 3-week period, I worked on a project to build the company website which contains information on the services offered by the company and other general information. My primary responsibility was to code with PHP and HTML to enable several functionalities on the website such as links and sign-up forms. On a few occasions, I had to manage the company database by sorting client information and entering data. In this internship, I applied the skills and techniques I had learnt from the Data-Centric Application course (MIS 3501) and Data Analytics course (MIS 2502). This internship has helped me develop my background in web development and data management which directly align with my future career goals.
