From June 17, 2019 till August 23, 2019, I worked as an IT and Cyber Security Intern at AmerisourceBergen Corporation’s Chesterbrook office. During the ten weeks of my internship, I vastly improved my business analysis skills and data analytics, and had the opportunity to network with a wide range of people in the industry.

AmerisourceBergen Corp is one of the largest pharmaceutical wholesalers and distributors in the world. The company’s business model includes:
- providing solution to pharmacies,
- distributing healthcare products,
- providing healthcare consulting services
Responsibilities as an IT and Cyber Security Intern
During my internship at AmerisourceBergen, I worked on the company’s project to model its various range of capabilities and map them on to important information such as the applications that support these capabilities and the budgets of future projects related to these capabilities. As an IT and Cyber Security Intern:
- I analyzed over 10 Excel spreadsheets that detailed the core and differentiating capabilities of each business unit within the company, the applications that these business units sustained, and the budgets allotted to future projects for the business units.
- I created interactive reports using Power BI and Excel to map the capabilities with supporting applications and allotted budgets. These reports were sent to the managers of various business units for validations.
- I created an interactive tool using MS PowerApps that connects to a SharePoint database and allows a user to generate the above-mentioned reports automatically. Managers of business units can also add or edit any information in the database using this tool.
