Research For Action – Research Intern
Research For Action
During the Spring 2018 semester, I worked for Research For Action as a Research Intern. Research For Action is a Philadelphia-based, nonprofit education research organization. It was a part-time. 16-week internship, mainly focusing on the Pennsylvania Clearinghouse for Education Research (PACER) project of the company.
My primary responsibility for the internship was to clean and reshape different categories of Pennsylvanian school data files using Stata. The clean data files would then be used for research and analysis. A few of the notable data sets on which I have worked include Dropout data, Cohorts Graduate Rate data, Percent Low Income data, Enrollment data, and Revenues data. This internship not only helped me develop my coding skills, but also allowed me to immensely improve my time management skills.
