602 Lab Update

March 10, 2021

***Update: In using the lab, make sure they check both doors to the room and if they are both locked, you can call AV support: 215-204-4177. Make sure you email me immediately if neither of these options work. I will get back to you ASAP.***

The lab will be open 9am-7pm Monday through Friday, starting tomorrow, the 11th. To use the lab, make sure: (1) to respect the capacity of the room, which is 9, and to sit only at the designated workstations (red dots in front of them), and (2) to do the COVID testing that is required to be on campus (this is a general requirement to be on campus, which I am sure you are familiar with).

Lab Machines Available

March 8, 2021

MIS lab on 6th floor (602) has set up machines available if you have issues running the applications on your home machine. The set up machines are on red dots in closest row to the entrance, red dot seats in middle row, and rod dot seats in the back on the last row (there is a wall on the right side of that row).

You need to configure the Android setup the first time you use any particular machine. To do that, please use the following guideline accurately:

Lab Setup

Once I confirm the hours of lab accessibility, I will post them here.

Welcome to MIS3580

January 9, 2020

Hello and welcome to MIS3580. I look forward to our first class together.

Many students ask me how they can best prepare for the course.  I have some advice!

  1. Download and install the course related software before the start of class.  See the React Native Setup posted under the Links section of this page.
  2. On the first day of class, I will take attendance, review the course (as it is documented on this site), and introduce some related material.
  3. There is no textbook for the class. However, using React Native’s page as a resource is recommended: https://reactnative.dev/

I look forward to seeing you in class on 01/19.

-Prof Havakhor
