Data Analytics Challenge
After a month of hard work, my group members and I had the opportunity to present our Temple University and NBCUniversal Data Analytics Challenge sponsored by IBIT in front of a panel of judges from Alexion, AmerisourceBergen, and NBCUniversal. I’m pleased to announce we placed third in the analytics track.
Our group sought to answer AmerisourceBergen’s question “Why do pharmacies buy outside of primary vendor agreements?” To do so, we worked with Excel, Tableau, Canva, Google Suite and Photoshop to clean, analyze, visualize, and describe the data.
I am beginning to develop an interest in data and business analytics and have shown interest in the healthcare field, so this project was the perfect opportunity to practice the skills learned in my Data Science class and combine them with my graphic design and presentation skills in order to dive deeper into the topic.
