NBC Universal Analytics Challenge
One of my most interesting Pro Points experiences was participating in the 2018 NBC Universal Data Analytics Challenge. My team was tasked in analyzing over 1000 rows of movie data from over the past 40 years. Our goal was to answer the question of: Why certain movies do better in the box office than others? We used Rstudio, tableau and Excel to filter through data such as release dates, budgets, genres, directors, actors, box office revenue, and seasons to determine why a specific move is either a hit or miss. The entire challenge was very interesting and rather informative. It gave me real world experience of data analysis and how important its roll in technology is.
