Digital Literacy Training for Seniors

The goal of this activity was to provide digital literacy training to seniors in the community, helping them acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to use technology for communication, information access, and social engagement. I conducted training sessions that cover topics such as basic computer skills, internet usage, email, social media, video calling, and online safety. The results of this activity improved digital literacy among seniors, empowering them to stay connected with loved ones, access online resources, and participate in virtual activities during the current crisis.

This activity targeted seniors in the community who had limited experience or familiarity with technology and faced challenges in using digital tools for communication, information access, or social engagement.

Through this activity, I developed teaching and training skills, as well as patience and empathy in working with seniors. I also learned about the unique needs and concerns of older adults when it comes to technology and gained a deeper understanding of the impact of digital literacy on their quality of life.
