Data Science Intern
I interned at an athletic recruiting company called FieldLevel. They are based in Salona Beach, California. I was able to work remotely from my apartment and communicate with them every day virtually.

- I was a Data Science intern working under a data scientist. I analyzed user data and made maps for new sports which led decision making from teams who would find new areas for expansion.

- A project i worked on was to add high school data for new sports. So i used python to web-scrape HTML and go through a page on a website and fetch the data. Then we used pandas and plotly to plot them on a map. Another task was data cleansing and manipulation, fixing errors within their tables, joining and condensing existing tables.
- What you learned and how it relates to your major (e.g., describe what you learned from this experience in the context of specific courses)
- I learned new principles of Data Science which related a lot to Data Analytics. Many of what I learned was about presentation and visual aspects of data, and i improved upon my SQL skills from my Data Analytics class.
