Quality Assurance Intern

- I was a Quality Assurance Intern in the IT department, part of the QA team. I performed QA testing for new processes and code changes made by the Developers. I also was a tester for an application which scanned hardware and suggested Dorman parts once a user had scanned a given part.

- Hardware Scanner Application
- I was the primary tester for a Mobile Application which scans/measures wheel hardware and recommends one of our Dorman part numbers to a user. I analyzed data provided from the application to recommend changes and see if the app was improving at scanning bolts or if we needed to communicate fixes to our other teams. This included daily stand-up meetings with all teams involved in the project, sharing updates and what we would be working on daily and what we completed the previous day.
- Dorman Development Systems/Engineering Change Notifications
- I performed Quality Assurance testing on various processes which our engineers use daily to make changes to parts, submit documentation, and much more. I ensured that the code changes made the requirements set by the engineering managers and checked the processes that went into each system.

- I applied some of my knowledge of ERP systems from Information Systems in Organizations to use SAP, which is the main business system that Dorman uses for maintaining orders, checking inventory, and much more. Referencing diagrams such as swim lanes were also very useful in my job to check the processes that the engineers used for the various systems we have in place. I also used my knowledge of excel which I learned in Data Science to complete an analysis on some of the scans from the mobile application.
