Information Technology Assistant, January 2020 – Present
As an Information Technology Assistant (ITA), I work with Professor Leila Hosseini to assist in facilitating a weekly class of 90 students in MIS 2101: Digital Systems. I provide support during the weekly classes, in addition to maintaining weekly office hours for supplemental assistance with programs including Salesforce, JavaScript, HTML, and JavaScript. I also evaluate student performance by assessing in-class activities and homework assignments and communicate these evaluations to the instructor. This position has allowed me to further my professional communication skills, as well as reinforce my knowledge of these fundamental Information Systems concepts.
PRO Ambassador, December 2020 – Present
As a PRO ambassador, I assist students in the MIS department with obtaining the required Professional Achievement Points (PRO points). I work closely with a team of four of my peers and key staff members to coordinate workshops to present pertinent information to other MIS majors. Additionally, I assist students on an individual basis with creating a PRO point schedule, creating their e-portfolio, and general troubleshooting. This position has allowed me to foster strong connections with central members of the MIS department, improve my professional communication skills, and gain an overall knowledge of the department.
